Tuesday Feb 15, 2022
Welcome back to Wayward Stories! In a nod to what has become, by far, our most popular episode “Badass Women of the Yukon Gold Rush”, tonight we take a look at a few more Badass Women who’ve done badass things in the wild. From a 14 year old girl who skied across the worlds largest icecaps, to a 67 year old grandmother through-hiking the Appalachian Trail, you’ll hear about some amazing “first’s” in tonight’s show. The contents of tonight’s show are inspiring and mind-blowing for both women and men alike, so I’ll hope you’ll join us!

You dont have to be cooooool, to rule my world🎶
Welcome back to our first episode after the conclusion of our spooky season series! We’re back to general outdoor topics and stories. So sit back, relax and enjoy the show! This week we take a look at some of the perceived barriers to getting yourself outside. Particularly we look at perceptions of cost associated with “must have” gear, perceptions of the “required” appearances to not feel out of place in the modern outdoor crowd and other facades perpetuated by sipping the good ol’ social mead.

This show is my passion project, born of a traumatic set of circumstances that jarred me from a sedentary life and an apocalyptic worldview. With my jarring wake up call came a clean slate...both in my physical world, but also my mental and emotional world. Wayward Stories is my humble attempt to add value to this world through sharing my story...my journey...with the intent of prompting others to take their lives back into their own hands. My goals are simple:
1- Demonstrate to others who have experienced trauma that good CAN exist on the other side of bad...so don't give up.
2- Offer proof-of-concept that an exciting life full of adventure and self-expansion can be had by the everyday Joe like me...with an everyday job, and everyday budget and an everyday life.
